Dog Walk to Aid Special Olympics

Organizers hope to raise as much as $3,000 for the Ventura County Special Olympics today during the fourth annual “Dog Day Afternoon” walk.
Dog owners and their leashed pets will begin their mile-long walk at Camino Real Park in Ventura at 10:30 a.m. Registration opens at 10 a.m.
The event, billed as the county’s largest dog walk, will also include canine club information and costume and pet/owner look-alike contests.
The $20 entry fee includes a T-shirt, dog treats and a bandanna.
