Jackson to Moderate El Nin~o Summit

Radio talk show host Michael Jackson will moderate an El Nin~o preparedness summit sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Tuesday at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, 1855 Main St., Santa Monica.
Scheduled speakers at the summit, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon, include Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), FEMA Director James L. Witt and Ants Leetmaa, director of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center. For information on the event, or preparing for El Nin~o, call (202) 646-4117.
