O’Brien Helps Power Chapman in Rout

Robert O’Brien had two hits, including a home run, a run scored and three runs batted in, to help Chapman to 13-4 rout over visiting Pomona-Pitzer in nonconference baseball Friday.
Six other Panthers had two hits. Mike Thornton had three RBIs and Aaron Rifkin had two RBIs for Chapman (18-7).
Starter Clint Blevins pitched five innings, giving up four hits, to improve his record to 4-0.
In nonconference men’s tennis:
Chapman 7, La Verne 0--Mark Naslund won in singles, 6-1, 6-0, for Chapman. Naslund and teammate Chris Ketcham won in doubles, 8-2. The Panthers are 7-6.
