DIVISION II BOYS’ SOCCER PLAYOFFS

In other Division II games:

El Dorado 4, Corona Centennial 0--El Dorado scored all of its goals in the second half. Senior Chad Bowman had two goals to lead the Golden Hawks (20-5), who will play Foothill Tuesday in the second round.

Foothill 3, Norco 2 (OT)--Matt Ledford scored the winner for Foothill (13-7-6) in the eighth minute of overtime. The Knights led, 2-0, at halftime on goals by Steven Adams and Darren Crume. Randy Zepeda scored two second-half goals for Norco (17-6-2) to send the game into overtime.

Orange 2, Corona 1--Ian Duncan scored two goals in the final five minutes for Orange. Jose Martinez had 10 saves for the Panthers (12-7-2) and his counterpart, Michael Rosen, recorded 12 for Corona (16-5-4). The Panthers will play San Clemente (17-3-5) in the second round.

Sunny Hills 4, La Serna 1 (OT)--Andy Pizano’s goal in the 39th minute of the first half tied the score, 1-1, for Sunny Hills. The Lancers (12-10-3) then scored three goals in overtime. Ruben Reyes scored for La Serna (11-6-2) in the 11th minute of the first half. Sunny Hills will play Bellflower St. John Bosco in the second round.

Troy 2, Whittier California 1 (Troy advances 4-3 in shootout)--After two overtimes and one round of penalty kicks, Trevor Lucas scored the winning goal for Troy in the shootout. Stephen Muther scored Troy’s only goal.

The Trojans (11-10-1) play Woodbridge in the second round.

Woodbridge 5, La Mirada 1--Ryan Orosz scored eight minutes into the first half for Woodbridge (17-2-6). La Mirada (5-7-5) trailed, 3-0, when Kevin Barr scored in the second half. Doug Allan made four saves for Woodbridge.
