State Grants Will Help 2 Area Schools

The Oxnard school district has been awarded technology grants that will give two area schools more than $54,000.
Fremont Junior High received $36,200 for staff development, eight Macintosh computers and monitors and an overhead projector.
Harrington Elementary School will purchase eight Pentium computers and software to fund its Technological Reading and Writing Center with the $18,325 grant.
The grants were awarded by the California Department of Education and are intended to improve curriculum delivery.
