The city will host its 11th annual old-fashioned Flag Day celebration June 14 in Constitution Park, near City Hall.
Residents are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to the park, which will be decorated with flags by the American Legion’s Camarillo Post No. 741.
The program, organized by Mayor Charlotte Craven, will include patriotic music and performances. Assemblyman Nao Takasugi is expected to talk about his experiences in an internment camp during World War II. Camarillo resident Manuel Eneriz will speak about his time as a prisoner of war.
The event begins at 3:30, and the Pledge of Allegiance is scheduled to be recited at 4 p.m.
