Repairs to Require Highway 150 Closures
Beginning in July, Caltrans crews will begin construction of a retaining wall along Highway 150 near St. Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula to stabilize a portion of the road that was damaged by this winter’s heavy rains.
At a cost of about $4 million, crews will be working 24 hours a day and expect to close the road during nighttime hours for the 80 days engineers anticipate it will take to complete the project.
Beginning July 7, Highway 150 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 9 p.m. to 10 a.m. Fridays, 5 p.m. to 10 a.m. Saturdays and 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sundays.
Intermittent closures will also occur during the daytime hours as needed, and Caltrans expects daily commutes to be delayed by about 30 minutes.
For further information on the closures and alternate routes, call the Caltrans public affairs office at (213) 897-4867.
