Cindy Oparah

Brethren Christian, Senior; Basketball, Forward

Oparah averaged 29 points and 12 rebounds to help the Warriors post two Southern Section Division IV-A playoff victories--including a 56-45 upset of top-seeded Santa Monica Crossroads--to reach the section finals and earn a state tournament berth. Oparah had 37 points and 13 rebounds in the victory over Crossroads.

Allison Fennell/Soccer/Forward

* Mater Dei, junior. Scored the tying goal and game-winner in a 2-1 victory over Ventura Buena in the Division II quarterfinals.

Giuliana Mendiola/Basketball/Guard

* El Toro, sophomore. Scored 21 points in 63-61 upset of top-seeded Crescenta Valley in the Division I-AA quarterfinals and 30 points in 78-68 double-overtime second-round victory over Capistrano Valley.

Julia Wald/Water Polo/Two Meters

* Rosary, senior. Scored 10 goals in two victories to help the Royals reach the Division III final.
