Cypress Edges Wilson at Loara Tournament

Richard Herrera singled home Jeff Hosler in the bottom of the seventh to give Cypress a 5-4 victory over Long Beach Wilson in the first round of the Loara baseball tournament Friday.
Hosler reached base on a leadoff single and moved to second on a sacrifice.
The host Centurions (1-0) took a four-run lead in the first inning. Wilson (0-1) scored a run in the fourth and one in the fifth to make it 4-2.
Lejuan Edwards then hit a two-run homer for Bruins in the top of the seventh to tie the score.
