HIS KIND OF TOWN

Eileen Nicastro’s letter “In Praise of Watford” last Sunday must be reinforced by an American who lived in Watford, England, from April 1943 to June 1944. As a young U.S. Army officer, I was billeted with an English family who accepted me as one of the family.
Mrs. Haller has heard me praise Watford for years and how it helped make a homesick GI less lonely. I can understand why an American soldier married a Watford girl--first-class people in this outstanding town!
