Prolong International Quarterly Net Drops

IRVINE — Lubricants manufacturer Prolong International Corp. reported that net income for the fourth quarter fell to $658,211 or 3 cents a share, from $866,295, or 3 cents a share, for the same period in 1996. Sales rose 31% to $9.3 million from $7.1 million.
For the year, earnings and revenue reached record highs. Net income increased to $2.1 million, or 8 cents a share, from $721,178, or 3 cents a share, the previous year. Sales grew 89% to $29.8 million from $15.8 million.
