* Newport Harbor at Laguna Beach, 6 p.m. Tuesday: Two of the county’s better teams with two of the county’s better setters meet in this nonleague match. Travis Nelson, a 6-foot-2 senior, leads Newport Harbor against Laguna Beach and 6-4 junior Miles McGann. The teams could clash again next weekend at the Orange County Championships.

* Corona del Mar at Fountain Valley, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday: The Sea Kings are big and talented and are led by 6-5 middle blocker Dennis Alshuler against the Barons and their first-year coach, Ray Brown.

* Marina at Ocean View, 5:30 p.m. Wednesday: Marina Coach Darrick Lucero wanted this matchup in the fall, when Marina and Ocean View both won girls’ volleyball state titles. Setter Jeremy Blain leads the Vikings.
