The question May 10: After much hullaballo, “Seinfeld” leaves the air this week. (Teardrop here.) What other long-running sagas would you like to see come to an end?
*
“The Simpsons,” Bart and O.J.
Seema Bagai Diamond Bar
*
“Party of Five.” If Scott Wolf gets any older, he’ll grow a mustache.
Leonard Stansfield, Santa Monica
*
End the “Jerry Springer Show”--or combine it with baseball. Mainly, you can rid the national pastime of boredom by setting up domestic disputes from the bullpen, have fed-up umpires moon the managers, boy meets girl and “outings” from the dugouts--plus, locally, it would extend Rupert Murdoch’s pulp parade.
Wayne E. Scott, Camarillo
*
The saga of consumption as our cultural narrative.
Greg Vander-Haeghen, Joshua Tree

Could we pull the plug on the Kenneth Starr saga? I know it has a bigger cast, is more entertaining and funnier than “Seinfeld,” but isn’t it time to move on to “the next big thing”?
Randall Bruce, Los Angeles

Dump “Drew Carey.” Not only is he repulsive to look at and listen to, he is not funny. (Never watched “Seinfeld,” won’t miss it.)
Lindsey T. Groves Burbank
*
“Beverly Hills 90210.” If they don’t stop now, they might all turn into decent human beings with families and steady jobs.
E. Landayan, West Covina

How about ending “The Many Loves of Bill Clinton,” starring Bill Clinton with Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, Gennifer Flowers, Kathleen Willey and a star-studded cast led by Kenneth Starr. It’s running too long. Cancel it!
