Irvine 3, Redlands East Valley 1--Julianna Bayley had 18 kills and Jody Carlson added 15 in the 8-15, 15-13, 15-6, 15-7 victory for host Irvine (14-5).
Capistrano Valley 3, Alta Loma 0--Becky Warnick had 22 kills to help third-seeded Capistrano Valley (20-1) win, 15-1, 15-3, 15-7. The Cougars are 20-1.
In Division I-A:
Marina 3, Victorville Silverado 0--Chanda McLeod had 18 kills and Ashley Phillips added six kills and 29 assists to help the second-seeded Vikings (16-1) win, 15-2, 15-4, 15-5. Marina advanced to the semifinals to play San Clemente (11-7), which defeated San Gabriel, 15-5, 15-13, 15-6.
In Division II--AA:
Cypress 3, Mater Dei 2--Cypress was down 7-1 in fifth game, but came back on the strength of Dusty Creager’s three consecutive kills to upset top-seeded Mater Dei, 15-17, 11-15, 15-13, 15-9, 15-11.
Creager had 24 kills and Amanda Sellers added 15 for host Cypress (15-5), which advanced to play the Cerritos Gahr. Tuesday.
Lindsay Pavlik had 23 kills and Katie Beauregard added 19 for the Monarchs (13-3).
Santa Margarita 3, Huntington Beach 1--Lauren Heri’s 17 kills led Santa Margarita (11-4) in its 15-6, 5-15, 15-4, 15-7 home victory. The Eagles will play Santa Barbara San Marcos Tuesday. Huntington Beach ends 10-8.
In Division II-A:
La Habra 3, Ridgecrest Burroughs 0--Amanda Siler had 11 kills in the 15-10, 15-8, 15-7 victory for top-seeded La Habra (17-1), which advanced to play Valencia.
Valencia 3, La Puente Bishop Amat 2--Katie Eatherton had 25 kills, as Valencia (16-2) rallied to defeat fourth-seeded Bishop Amat, 10-15, 15-6, 14-16, 15-12, 15-3.
Sonora 3, Hemet 2--Worthy Lien had 24 kills in the 15-4, 8-15, 8-15, 15-10, 15-11 victory for host Sonora (14-3), which advanced to play Lakewood St, Joseph’s.
