PITTSBURG — A body found over the weekend was identified as that of a teenager missing for more than a week, police said Sunday.
A test of fingerprints confirmed that the girl is Lisa Dianne Norrell, Lt. William Zbacnik said. Investigators began a search for murder suspects, he said.
The 15-year-old Pittsburg girl disappeared Nov. 6 after storming out of an Antioch hall where she was attending a rehearsal quinceanera party, a traditional Latino ceremony held for girls turning 15.
On Saturday, her body was found near a landscaping supply center, Zbacnik said. She had been dead at least three days.
He declined to say how the girl died or whether she was sexually assaulted.
Police said they have several leads but no suspects in her disappearance, Zbacnik said.
