Garden Grove police said Monday that they are still trying to identify a man stabbed and left for dead early Sunday morning in a parking lot.
The man was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange with multiple stab wounds and died at the hospital. Police described him as a Latino in his mid-30s, 145 pounds, 5 feet 5 inches tall, with brown eyes and dark-brown, collar-length hair. The man was not carrying any identification, and fingerprint tests failed to find a match.
Police said they responded at 1:30 a.m. Sunday to a call from a bartender at an establishment in the 12700 block of Garden Grove Boulevard, saying that a man was bleeding in the parking lot.
An Orange man was arrested at the time in connection with the stabbing, but police would not release his name, citing the ongoing investigation.
Garden Grove Police Lt. John Woods would not elaborate on the incident except to say that it happened outside the bar.
