Kmart Corp. named Michael Bozic vice chairman and chief administrative officer, effective Dec. 7, to oversee finance, merchandising systems and inventory, and contend for the chairman’s job when Floyd Hall retires. Bozic, 57, comes to the No. 2 U.S. discount retailer from Levitz Furniture Corp., where he is chairman and chief executive. Previously, he led the restructuring of Hills Department Stores Inc. and was head of the merchandise group at Sears, Roebuck & Co., where he worked for 28 years. Bozic’s appointment follows several management changes at Troy, Mich.-based Kmart. Andrew Giancamilli replaced Warren Flick as president of U.S. operations after Flick announced his retirement last year. Kmart’s executive vice president of distribution and chief information officer left earlier this year. Kmart shares fell 38 cents to close at $15.63 on the New York Stock Exchange.
