Fourth-graders from Crown Valley Elementary School will be immersed in Japanese culture today when they are visited by staff coordinators from the Keizai Koho Center in Tokyo. Students will get to learn Japanese phrases, try on traditional clothing, eat lunch with chopsticks and will each be given a Japanese name. Center representatives are in California for the National Council for the Social Studies National Convention to meet with educators from the U.S. and Canada who recently studied in Japan. Information: (949) 831-3638.
