Men’s soccer

Art Ramirez, a sophomore from Huntington Beach High, scored five goals in two games last week as Fullerton (7-3-1) won the Fila Titan Classic. Ramirez had three goals in Sunday’s 7-0 victory over Cal State Los Angeles. That boosted his season total to nine, tops in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

THIS WEEK

Women’s soccer: The Titans play two key Big West Conference games in Titan Stadium, going against UC Santa Barbara at 7 p.m. Friday and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo at 2 p.m. Sunday. Fullerton is 4-7 after a 3-1 loss to USC last week. Dolores Browning scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season in that game.

Women’s volleyball: The Titans play at Long Beach State at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The 49ers are unbeaten in 14 matches this season and ranked No. 1 nationally by Volleyball Magazine. The Titans play at Pacific Saturday, then return home to meet William & Mary at 6 p.m. Monday. The Titans (6-8, 1-3) picked up their first conference victory last week against North Texas.
