2 Sought for Questioning in Slaying in Courtyard

Deputies are looking for the killer of a 22-year-old man who was assaulted by two men, stabbed and left to die early Tuesday in an apartment courtyard.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies found Steven Marquez of Newhall bleeding from stab wounds in the courtyard of Valencia Village apartments at about 12:35 a.m. Marquez was rushed to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Irving said detectives have not determined a motive for the attack.
Irving said investigators are seeking two 18-year-old men in connection with the killing.
