Julia Rex, opposite-side hitter for the Esperanza High girls’ volleyball team, has committed to Texas A & M, her club Coach Michael Soylular said Sunday.
The 6-foot Rex chose the Aggie program over Pepperdine, Santa Clara, BYU, Colorado and the University of San Diego.
Rex was second-team All-Sunset League last year. The Aztecs advanced to the Southern Section semifinals before losing to Manhattan Beach Mira Costa last year. The Aztecs currently are ranked seventh in Division IAA.
