It seemed like “Sentenced to a Life in Limbo” (Sept. 9), on immigrants in U.S. prisons, was soft on crime. These immigrants, who committed crimes, should be immediately deported to the places where they came from.

In the article, a mother said her son wouldn’t do well back in his native country. I’m not sad for him, and the mother ought to feel pain for the victims of her son’s crimes. The INS needs to expel from the U.S. immigrants, whether illegal or otherwise, who commit major violations of the law.
