The city Recreation Department’s 12-day Build a Fort Camp begins Monday.
Recreation staff will teach carpentry to children ages 8 to 12. Camp staff will provide campers with tools, materials and a small plot of land where they can create a home away from home.
The staff also will organize group games, sports and water activities.
Children should bring bag lunches and wear clothes they can get dirty. Campers will meet at 9 a.m. in El Conejo Park and should be picked up there at 2 p.m. The camp costs $95 per camper and ends Aug. 20. Information: (949) 707-2600.
