Freshman Guard Leaves UC Irvine

Kelly Murray, a freshman guard at UC Irvine, has left the team, Anteater Coach Mark Adams said.
Murray, a 5-8 point guard, was averaging 1.3 points and had played in all nine games, averaging 6.5 minutes. She returned to her parents’ home in Ventura, where she starred at Buena High School.
The Anteaters are left with two point guards, senior Megan Stafford, the team’s leading scorer, and walk-on Kai Ito.
Murray averaged 12 points and four assists at Buena and was first-team All-Ventura County.
