Students in fourth through 12th grades who live in or attend school in the city are eligible for the Michael L. Roston creative writing contest, funded by a gift to the Anaheim Public Library from Dr. and Mrs. Maxwell L. Roston in memory of their son, Michael.
Contestants may submit original poems, essays and stories of 1,000 words or less. There will be cash prizes, certificates for all participants and a published booklet of winning works. The deadline to enter is March 6; entries can be submitted at any of the city’s five libraries. Entry forms are available at schools or the libraries. Information: (714) 530-7467 or (714) 765-3576.
