Rapper ODB was arrested on a charge of attempted murder after a shootout with New York police. Russell Jones, the real name of the Wu-Tang Clan singer, and another man were driving a vehicle with its headlights off when police tried to pull them over in Brooklyn. An unmarked police car with four plainclothes officers chased Jones after he tried to flee, police said. He was later pulled over, and when two officers approached, two shots were fired from the driver’s side, police said. Jones, 29, was later arrested and pleaded innocent to charges of attempted murder in the second degree, attempted murder of a police officer in the first degree, and criminal possession of a weapon. “There is no evidence . . . that Russell Jones fired a weapon,” said Jones’ attorney, Peter Frankel.
