Alfredo “Wilfred” Correa, owner of Correa Bros. Transportation, has died at his home. He was 53.
Born on June 2, 1946, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, Correa moved to California with his family two years later. He graduated from Oxnard High School.
After high school, he became the owner of Correa Bros. Transportation, delivering sand and gravel.
In 1967, Correa married, and the couple raised their family in Oxnard.
His daughter-in-law, Sonia Correa, said Correa was cheerful and kind. He kept to himself, and in his spare time customized cars and trucks. He restored cars, including paint work, and showed them locally.
Correa was preceded in death by his wife, Martha.
He is survived by two sons, Alfredo and Sammy of Oxnard; his mother, Carmen Correa of Oxnard; a sister, Sandy Correa of Oxnard; and two grandchildren.
