The City Council on Tuesday approved seven amendments to clarify or delete sections of the city’s zoning code. The most significant change is an increase in the width of residential streets from 25 feet to 32 feet. The new code does not apply to existing streets, only new developments. Another amendment would put an end to requiring permits and fees for residents who hold more than one garage sale in a one-year period. A staff report called the garage sale code unenforceable.
