Colina Middle School will be honored for creating a positive campus environment and an anti-drug attitude among students, officials said.
A representative for Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks) will present school leaders with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition during a ceremony Tuesday in the school auditorium.
The award is a response to a recommendation by the school’s DARE officer, Sheriff’s Deputy Greg Sharp, who works to educate students on the dangers of drugs.
Attending the award ceremony will be representatives from the city, Sheriff’s Department and the Conejo Valley Unified School District.
