The public is invited to attend a study session Tuesday in which council members will discuss a proposal to build a Hindu temple and hotel at the Sequoia Athletic Club and Conference Center.
A group called Bochasanwasi Shree Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan has offered to buy the property with the intention of utilizing a majority of the existing conference center. Details of the purchase will be discussed at the study session, and council members may vote on the proposal Tuesday.
The study session will begin at 5 p.m. in council chambers, 6650 Beach Blvd.
