The Buena Park Library will be accepting a rebate check for $9,881 from Southern California Edison on Wednesday at 7 p.m. during the library’s board meeting. The rebate is for installing energy-efficient lighting in the library. After the electric company installed the lighting, employees and patrons said things were looking much brighter.
Kathleen Wade, public services manager for the library, said: “We had to walk around with sunglasses on for a few days because it was so bright.” The rebate money will go toward children’s services, which include books and other media.
