MTA and Playa Vista

* Re “Mayor Exercises Clout on MTA Board,” Oct. 29: When will any of the bumbling “leaders” in Southern California learn? Freeways and street widenings only do one thing: bring more traffic. The $30-million gift to the Playa Vista developers could have been better spent on light rail or bus projects (projects which reduce traffic, not increase it). They could have even spent the money extending the Green Line through LAX right to the mayor’s precious Playa Vista! Just another reason to kick the politicians off of the MTA board.
