SEASON AT A GLANCE: The 5-foot-10, 177-pound tailback last week surpassed 1,000 yards rushing for the second consecutive season. In seven games, he has rushed for 1,303 yards. He needs 126 yards to break the school season record of 1,428 set by Lafayette Bailey.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Woods rushed for 323 yards and two touchdowns in a 37-27 Golden League victory over Antelope Valley, breaking his school record of 293 yards set Sept. 17 against Silverado. His 35 carries tied the single-game record set by his brother, Michael.

SPORT: Volleyball
SEASON AT A GLANCE: The setter-outside hitter, who possesses strong ball-handling and hitting skills, is one of the primary reasons for the Warriors’ resurgence in the Marmonte League. Last year, she was a second-team All-Southern Section Division II selection. This year, she might be first team.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Mills had 19 kills and 40 assists in a five-game victory over Royal that all but clinched the Marmonte League championship for Westlake. She had nine kills and 20 assists in a sweep of second-place Thousand Oaks.
