Richard Doering, a vascular surgeon who has been in private practice for the last 30 years, has been named chief of staff at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian.
His responsibilities will include enforcing medical staff rules, appointing chair and committee members and presiding over the quarterly medical staff meetings. He also will represent the medical staff on various hospital committees.
Doering said that with the staff’s help, he hopes to establish Hoag as the finest community hospital on the West Coast.
