The Planning Commission tonight will consider a request from resident Zahara Shahidi to increase the size of the family day-care operation at her home on San Doval Lane.
The city’s Community Development Department has recommended that the commission approve Shahidi’s request to provide day care for seven to 14 children.
Shahidi has a small family day-care center in her home. She ran a larger operation at her residence in Lakewood from 1994 until June of this year, when she moved to Mission Viejo.
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 25909 Pala.
