A 20-year-old Encino woman was sentenced Tuesday to 15 days in county jail and 45 days on a Caltrans work crew after pleading no contest to possessing pornographic photographs she took of a 6-year-old girl, according to the Los Angeles city attorney’s office.
The pictures were taken while the woman, Fabiola Navarro Gonzales, worked for the child’s parents as a baby-sitter and housekeeper, the attorney’s office said.
Gonzales also was placed on three years’ summary probation, requiring her to register as a sex offender, undergo psychological counseling and not be in the presence of anyone under 18 unless a responsible adult is present. She was sentenced by Los Angeles Municipal Court Commissioner Kristi Lousteau.
Gonzales was arrested in May after an employee of a Hollywood photo-developing service called police. She had left a roll of film, containing at least four sexually graphic images of the girl, to be developed there, said Deputy City Atty. Michele Anderson. The child’s 15-year-old sister had also witnessed Gonzales taking nude pictures of the child, Anderson said.
