GAME OF THE WEEK
Tampa Bay (6-4) at Seattle (8-2). How weak are today’s matchups? This is one of only two games in which both teams are above .500. The Buccaneers’ lost offense must find the end zone for them to have a chance. They can’t continue to hope their defense and kicker Martin Gramatica will carry them.
UPSET OF THE WEEK
Arizona (4-6) at New York Giants (5-5). Giant Coach Jim Fassel hopes to jump-start his offense by moving Kerry Collins in as the starting quarterback. He tried that once before, in Week 5. Collins lost, 14-3. The opponent? Arizona.
POTENTIAL STAR OF THE WEEK
Seattle Seahawk receiver Joey Galloway. He has had two weeks to work his way in gradually after holding out for the first eight weeks. Now, with defenses unable to focus on him because of Seattle’s other talented receivers, Galloway is ready to break out.
POTENTIAL STIFF OFTHE WEEK
San Diego Charger quarterback Ryan Leaf. He has already more than fulfilled his potential in this department. But just to make sure, while on a four-week suspension for insubordination, Leaf got into a flag football game and sprained an ankle, further annoying his bosses.
