Cypress’ Nunez Wins Top Honor from Conference

Cypress’ Alie Nunez, a freshman from Valencia High, was selected as the most valuable player by a vote of the Orange Empire Conference women’s soccer coaches.
Nunez has set a Cypress single-season record with 36 goals.
Nunez, who also has 23 assists, was one of five Chargers on the first team. Cypress was 12-0 in conference.
Santa Ana’s Juan Mares and Kevin Merkh were the coaches of the year.
