Bush Champion Flips to McCain

Former Rep. Guy Molinari, a New York Republican who once called Texas Gov. George W. Bush “the best candidate the Republican Party can put forward for president,” threw his support to Sen. John McCain of Arizona. “I could have continued to support Gov. Bush,” said Molinari, borough president of Staten Island. “But sometimes you just have to stand up and say--despite all the odds--that my overwhelming respect for a candidate like John McCain demands that I rise to endorse him.”
