In another Sunset League match:

Los Alamitos 3, Edison 2--Drue Wawrzynski and Jaclyn Owen had 13 kills each and setter Stephanie Gamst had 45 assists and three blocks for Los Alamitos (10-7, 4-3), which won, 15-2, 7-15, 15-6, 8-15, 15-12.

In the Freeway League:

Sonora 3, Buena Park 1--Alyson Merchant had 21 kills and Melissa Jenkins had 15 digs for Sonora (4-8, 3-3), which won 15-2, 15-7, 13-15, 15-9.

In the Garden Grove League:

Santiago 3, Rancho Alamitos 2--Barbara Sualua and Kelly Chavez had 16 kills each for Santiago (9-7, 5-5), which won, 7-15, 15-8, 9-15, 15-9, 15-9. Staci Bradley had nine kills for Rancho Alamitos (3-10, 1-8).

In the Orange League:

Western 3, Magnolia 1--Desiree Fiapai had 12 kills and Francella Silitai had 35 assists for Western in a 15-4, 14-16, 15-4, 15-9 win.

In the Pacific Coast League:

University 3, Costa Mesa 1--Katie Brandt had 19 kills for host University (10-3, 3-2), which won, 15-9, 15-11, 6-15, 16-14. Daylyn Kelley had 12 kills for Costa Mesa (5-8, 2-3).

In the Serra League:

No. 3 Santa Margarita 3, Lakewood St. Joseph’s 1--Sophomore Shelby Hamm had 26 assists to lead Santa Margarita (14-5, 3-1) to a 15-6, 15-10, 11-15, 15-8 victory.

In the South Coast League:

No. 8 San Clemente 3, El Toro 1--Kimberly Noble had 15 kills and Christina Vick had 14 kills as San Clemente (8-5, 6-1) won, 15-12, 15-5, 12-15, 15-3.
