Diego Barba, the Monroe quarterback dismissed from the team two weeks ago because he missed a week of practice, is back in uniform by vote of his teammates.
Barba started the last two seasons, lost his job when he transferred to Sylmar after last season, but transferred back during the summer.
Barba, a senior, completed one of two passes for 26 yards last week against Kennedy in relief of junior Steve Beltran.
“We voted him back on the team,” said Tyrone Burwell, Monroe running back. “He belongs with us. It’s cool.”
Barba has completed eight of 14 passes for 188 yards and one touchdown. Beltran is 28 of 82 for 431 yards and five touchdowns.
