Drug Approved for Use in Organ Transplants

WASHINGTON — A new drug to help the body accept transplanted organs won approval Wednesday from the Food and Drug Administration.

The FDA approved Rapamune, made by American Home Products’ Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories.
