El Dorado took a 7-0 lead on a 75-yard interception return by P.J. McNiff.
But La Habra went to work after that. The Highlanders built a 25-7 lead on the strength of a solid rushing attack that was led by Josh Herrera and Brent West.

Herrera, who ran for 76 yards in 19 carries, scored the next three touchdowns, one of them a 63-yard punt return with 7:31 left in the half.
But El Dorado quarterback Brian Zurhellen threw a 70-yard touchdown pass to Jake Jones to start the Golden Hawk rally with 2:20 left before halftime.
