Tour Operators Make ‘Net Shopping Easier
The United States Tour Operators Assn. has revamped its Web site to make it easier to shop for trips offered by its members, who it says account for most tours and packages sold by travel agents in the U.S. Previously, searches just yielded names of companies. Now browsers can call up specific packages by zeroing in on destination, price, trip length and activity. For instance, a search of Africa trips lasting 10 to 13 days and costing $2,000 to $2,999 called up 29 packages last week. The Web site is at https://www.ustoa.com.
