Union Strikes
* It has been reported that L.A. unions plan to protest by way of disrupting the Los Angeles Democratic Convention (the party that supports labor) in August (March 30). This is not the way! Hard-fought, intelligent negotiations solve problems--not carnival antics, which attract fringe groups (i.e. eco-terrorists, hoodlums and other protesters with unrelated agendas).
Union leaders must not be suckered into lending their good names in support of such antics. Look what happened to the streets of Seattle last year. The hard-working, dues-paying union members deserve productive representation by the union leadership.
