Essex Buys Anaheim Apartment Complex

A Palo Alto multifamily residential property company said Friday that it has bought the 161-unit Barclay Apartments in Anaheim for $10.7 million. Essex Property Trust Inc. said in a press release that the garden-style apartment complex consists of 80 one-bedroom units and 81 two-bedroom units and has a swimming pool and spa areas. Essex said it also acquired a San Jose complex, the Carlyle, for $18.5 million. The company owns 71 multifamily properties along the West Coast.
