Union Co-Founder’s Condition Improves

Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers union, was improving Saturday at UCLA Medical Center after being airlifted from a Bakersfield hospital the day before, a hospital spokesman said.
Huerta, 70, who organized the farm workers union with the late Cesar Chavez, was upgraded from serious to fair condition and was being moved from intensive care to a regular hospital room, UCLA spokesman Dan Page said.
