E. Coli Cases Linked to Recalled Beef at 32

Minnesota Health Department officials confirmed another case of E. coli infection, bringing to at least 28 the number of state residents sickened by a bacteria outbreak linked to ground beef. The outbreak also has been blamed for illnesses in three people in Wisconsin and one in Iowa. Cub Foods, part of Supervalu Inc., recalled its fresh ground beef a week ago from stores in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Chicago and Indianapolis. Cub Foods’ supplier, American Foods Group Inc. of Green Bay, Wis., announced Monday it was voluntarily recalling 1.1 million pounds of ground beef.
