WOODLAND HILLS — Three men robbed a group home for troubled boys at gunpoint Monday afternoon, escaping with several thousand dollars, Los Angeles police said.
The men entered the Pacific Lodge Youth Services hall at 4900 Serrania Ave. about 4:20 p.m., said Lt. Tom Smart of the LAPD’s West Valley Division. They forced eight workers to lie on the floor and made another open the safe, he said.
Two of the robbers were armed with knives and the other with a gun, Smart said, adding that the men covered their faces with hoods.
