Peltier and the FBI

* Re “300 FBI Agents March on White House,” Dec. 16: I found the coverage of the FBI march against Leonard Peltier slanted. One agent who stated he worked on the crime scene said, “No doubt in my mind, he did it.” Yet he asked not to be identified. Unidentified agents are also quoted as saying that because of President Clinton’s close ties to members of Hollywood’s elite who support Peltier’s bid for clemency and who donated large sums of money to his campaign, he will be influenced to grant the pardon. Isn’t it the FBI’s job to investigate corruption?
With an article of this length, I was disappointed that it did not delve further into why Peltier has so many supporters.
